Teaching a friend

February 8th, 2007 at 03:31 pm

Yesterday I started to show a friend of mine how to combine sales and coupons. She was amazed at how much $$$ can be saved with a little planning.
Isaved $15.50 with coupons that will be added to the challenge. Also went to Wal-Mart and they were marking their Christmas toys down even further. Most I bought were 80% off. Yea!!! I buy ahead for parties my kids are invited to. I save a lot of money 'shopping in my closet.' Should I put the differece I saved on these toys in my challenge?
In refrence to yesterdays post, I have almost decided to let my daughter take a break. She does do other activities such as basketball and Girl Scouts, and that is probably enought for now.

Thanks for mentioning Wal-Mart's toy discounts. I have been keeping an eye on the mark-downs, but they had gone to 50% last time I looked. I went this morning, and got a "ton" of toys at 75 to 80 per cent off. My birthday shopping and a lot of next year's Christmas shopping for next year is done.
They had very little for girls, but a lots of boy's toys.
